Al-Masjid an-Nabawi

Al-Masjid an-Nabawi: The Heart of Medina

One of the most significant landmarks in Medina is Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque. It is the second holiest mosque in Islam after Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. The mosque was originally built by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and has since been expanded multiple times to accommodate the growing number of worshippers.

One of the most sacred areas within the mosque is Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, which is considered to be a garden of Paradise. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Pilgrims who visit Medina often seek the opportunity to pray in this blessed area, believing it brings immense spiritual rewards.

In the Heart of Light: A Loving Reflection on the Place of Prayer in the Prophet's ﷺ🌿 Mosque

In the Prophet’s ﷺ Mosque, there is a silence —
but not the kind of silence that feels empty.
It is a silence that overflows —
with peace, with mercy, with sorrow quietly weeping in the corners of hearts.

In this place, prayer doesn’t begin with words.
It begins with wonder. With awe

Ya Allah…
Let our hearts always turn back to You.
Let our feet walk toward Your light again and again.
And when we stand in prayer,
let us feel —
even for a moment —
that we are wrapped in the very center of Your Love and Light.

Riyazul Jannah
The Garden Where Hearts Return to Allah

Riyazul Jannah

That place… is Riyazul Jannah — The Garden of Paradise — nestled within the sacred walls of the Prophet’s ﷺ Mosque in Madinah.Riyazul Jannah is not just a place — it is a sacred whisper, a gentle reminder that Paradise is not only something we wait for after death... Sometimes, even in this life, we are allowed to feel it — just for a moment, just enough to awaken the soul. In the very heart of the Prophet’s ﷺ mosque, this truth lives. It breathes in the silence, glows in the stillness of prayer, and softly, lovingly... calls us home. Ya Allah... touch our hearts with such mercy, that we may one day stand in Riyazul Jannah — and if our feet never reach its blessed soil, let our hearts always long for it, always turn in its direction. And if You honor us with that gift — the gift of praying there, then remind us: the true Garden is not only beneath our feet... but quietly blooming within our hearts.
